David F. Axelrod

David F. Axelrod is the founder of Axelrod Laliberte LLC, where he focuses on general litigation, corporate investigations and compliance, tax controversies and white-collar defense. He is nationally recognized for his sophistication in corporate investigations, tax controversies and white-collar defense.

Before founding Axelrod Laliberte LLC, Mr. Axelrod was a director in the corporate investigations practice of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, LLC, where he led multi-disciplinary investigative teams in two European countries as part of a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation for the audit committee of Siemens AG.

Mr. Axelrod was a partner at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where represented individuals and companies in regulatory enforcement matters, corporate investigations, white-collar defense, business litigation and tax controversies. As a special prosecutor, Mr. Axelrod co-led the prosecution of the largest Blue Sky securities fraud case in the history of the State, culminating in a trial lasting almost six months.

Mr. Axelrod is a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, and Trial Attorney for the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice. He has also served as an adjunct professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Following graduation from law school, he served as a law clerk for United States District Judge David S. Porter in Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the Washington College of Law of the American University, where he held the position of Senior Editor on the American University Law Review.
